I personally don't see that Donny has done a thing out of line. Granted, I have not read every work of every post since the initial blog entry was brought here, but I've yet to see him make start threads where he sermonizes.

And after his first 'explanation' post, I don't even recall him being the one bringing his religious choices into it.

I think TD does a great job with this board. At the same time, if I had a ban list, Donny's name would be far, far, FAR down the line compared to a lot of people here.

I would agree with you if this were almost any board except GFY. But let's face it, whatever the slogan at the top of the screen (which anyway is no more specific than "where the industry meets"), GFY is a playground.

It isn't relevant to this thread whether that is good or bad: the fact remains that this board is packed with sig-whoring nonsense as well as with threads which have little if anything to do with business. There are quite a few visitors - myself included - who would be happy to see at least the most mind-numbing stuff cleaned out, but threads about religion are way from being the first things which would come to mind.

I simply saw the decision as bizarre or as an attempt in its own right to create some drama. But it isn't that hard to imagine that some might actually be offended by what seemed much more like a personal choice than one with any logic behind it.
