People who have a hard time when reading the word "millions" must really be doing poorly in this business. For the word to be plural (millions) all one needs is 2. I've stated that I've made "millions" from this business. To see if that's possible let's do some math.
I was actually in the business 9 years. My own math has been off. I started in June of 1997 and ended just a few weeks ago, in September of 2006.
Just $2 million would make my statement true, no? $2 million divided by 9 equals what? Come on... you can do it. I know you can! The answer is an average of $222,000 per year. And change.
Now, if you're not making that perhaps you should leave the business as well. I assure you I averaged more than that. That is a promise.Comment

I'm not going to go into my or Donny's finances here but I can tell you that Donny and I did shoot for at least 3 of the same clients and EACH of those clients spends 6 figures a year with each of us. I also happen to know that Donny had pay sites which generated 6 figures annually.

No, I don't know everything - never said I do.
However, I do hire photographers, both for adult and mainstream, and I have been an amateur photographer for years now, plus own and operate web sites, so I do know a few things about pay in the industry.
In the early years, Donny was mostly shooting for himself. Then he shot for ATK and I have photographer friends that shoot for them, and I know how much they make. I also know some of the same people at some of the companies he shoots for and have an idea about what they pay.
Only in the past few years has he received some big paying gigs. Therefore, given his claims, I don't think my challenge to him was out of place.
Also, don't include pass through money in the total (the money you are paid to pass onto the models as their fee).
Oh, and Donny Christ Superstar, quit hiding behind Aaron's skirt...

Speaking of Karups... I have to thank Louis for being solely responsible for the best content-sales month I've ever had in this business. When he was stocking up for Karups HA he once placed an order with us that resulted in a $14,000 DAY. Yeah, I said DAY. There was a TON of girl/girl shot that day, and Belinda, the models and me were all exhausted at the end of it. The rest of that month wasn't QUITE so busy, but it was busy enough to have resulted in a content sales month that was amazing.
The second biggest content production day ever was thanks to MaxCash and Gary Kremen. MaxCash for ordering more than $10k worth of content, again shot in one DAY, and Gary Kremen for letting us shoot it at his house.
People like AsianDivas can be rather clueless at times. Very, very clueless.
Dude, just because you can't do it yourself don't think the rest of us can't. From personal relationships with AaronM and Wanton, I can tell you none of the three of us would be happy with less than $200k per year in content sales alone. I've had years that are much more than double that in content sales. Then throw in paysite income and checks from sending traffic to sponsors. It's simply idiotic for ADWGD to assume $2 million in 9 years is unrealistic.Comment

The way you describe your $14,000 day makes it sound as if you are including Belinda's earnings, and therefore possibly the models fees too. What was your cut?
I thought with your claim about trying to be Christ-like, it might be possible for you to not dissemble/lie and project your vanity, but now I am seeing that you aren't communicating with Jesus/God at all, you are the same self-centered person you always were, just an even bigger hypocrite.
From what I've read of your writing since claiming to be born again, Jesus isn't using you, you are using him...

200k a year pay for photography, not pay for projects (where you have to subtract the pay for the models, make-up artists, assistants, locations, etc), would be quite good pay for even an established photographer with clients.
Donny didn't always have the clientele he had up until much long before he quit the adult business over religious issues. It appears most of his big name clients came to him/Belinda with any amount of meaningful work in the last year or two.
That is why I questioned his boastful claim of earning "millions of dollars" in adult, which he right away tried to push down to the bare minimum of $2 million. I haven't made millions in adult yet (I have in mainstream - no boast intended), but my mortgage payments are higher that Donny's (which he may even be splitting with Belinda since supposedly her name is above his on the deed).
Just looking at his traffic stats, I can guesstimate what Donny's sales might have been from his former sites.
In any case, if his former sites were doing so well, he could have hired somebody else fulltime to do the marketing, and still made a decent profit (if he was earning what Aaron claims), instead of selling off the sites. I have sites that haven't been updated or marketed in years that still pull in money.
In mainstream, a professional photographer can generally expect to make $750/half day or $1,500 for a full day (I'm not talking about Annie Leibowitz either). Up until this year I have done most of my own shooting, but even since I have started hiring professional photographers, I haven't had to pay mainstream rates.
Photographers also usually don't shoot every day, and most have other responsibilites in addition to shooting. In adult you have the added problem of models that flake. I mostly use agencies, so I have a low flake out rate - plus I always have a list of models that I have worked with previously to call in case of a no show, so that some work can still get accomplished, when I've booked make-up artists, locations, etc.
Still waiting to see if Rev. Donny can answer the simple question posed to him, now that he has gone from Miserable User status to Anti-Porn Crusader status.
An honest Christian could fill in the blanks...

I don't think the income is any of yours or anyones business to be honest. Yes he likes to brag about how much money he made in this business and it is true, he did make a lot of money but like anything else you spend what you make. We made some mistakes with our money in the past but that doesn't mean that we didn't make that money. We hardly ever had models flake for shoots and because we are 10 hours north of LA we don't have to pay huge model fees and agency fees and as far as major clients, we or I still have the same clients he has had since the beginning and those clients have always been a huge source of our income. As far as the site goes, yes it did well but our major source of income has always been producing content for others. He wanted to concentrate more on that then run a site which he knew less about so it was natural from him to sell the site don't you think? Stick to what you know better right?

I don't want to argue with you Belinda, but based upon Donny's own writings in his blog which I can quote if you like, he did not have all of the same clients he had until recently that he had back in the beginning in 1997.
Again, I read Donny's blog, and in it he complained more than once about model's that flaked on him (he said that's why he liked using you to help recruit models - his words, not mine).
With all due respect to you Belinda, and I am sorry for what you are having to endure to try and keep both your home and your, what is it, 6-year fiancee, Donny raised the issue of how much he makes, therefore I would expect him as the true Christian he claims to be now (instead of the guy that lied to his wife and banged models while he was shooting porn) to come clean and answer my simple question (remind him to exclude your pay and the model fees):

why is it so hard to believe someone can make $2 million in TEN YEARS?
2,000,000 / 2,600 = $769.23 a day
(this is 5 working days a week for 10 years)
I dont know anything about photography but any time I do hear about it, I hear about models being paid over $1k per shoot.. theres obviously a lot of profit if photographers pay $1000 for a few hours of work.
