You choose to think the human mind has the capacity of understanding everything. It's a rather ignorant assumption. Does an ant have the ability to understand the world as we see observe it? I mean I don't rule out the possibility we're at the top of the totem pole of 13.7 billion years of evolution among at least 80 billion galaxies. But to call it case closed, we're a product of laws that are the way they are simply because they can be, just seems ignorant. It's a possability, no doubt.

I mean if you leave a monkey hammering on a keyboard for a long enough period of time it will eventually type Hamlet entirely by chance. And if you examine how amazingly precise everything had to be to produce a universe capable of baring life, you just might end up thinking a monkey typed Hamlet on the first try.

We could go off on a tangent about astro physics and quantum physics, and attempt to debate subjects only a few people on this planet entirely understand (neither myself, nor anyone on this board being one of them). And believe me, these subjects do relate to believing in a creator. It's just as easy to blindly deny a creator as it is to blindly worship one. But if you do some research you just might come to the conclusion that we know very little about anything.

i used to be very religious.. I even led a youth group when i was 14.
then i started reading philosophy. It changed the way i think. I dont deny a creator, so i am an agnostic, but i do catergorically deny yahewh, the god of the "bible"

We're our own god, our own architect.

We're the ultimate observer, so fucking observe! No need to question the unanswerable. We're looking through cats eyes, limited by our own perception. How can we decide how it should be, if we do not fully understand "how it is".

The only possible God would not a "figurehead in charge" nor a "creator". But merely the "name_holder" for "everything" aka "one". All Universal laws, everything. Every remote piece of energy - be it YOU or a coffee table. All the way down to sub-atomic world. EVERYTHING. That is God.

Not my god though, as said, I am my own god!
The universe ceases once my eyes closed...For now.

While off on a tangent - death is an illusion. Nothing is lost nor gained in this "energy pool". Flesh is destroyed, energy however, is recycled.

Good luck Jesus worshippers - It's best you remain doped up, because I don't think you can handle more elaborate discussions. It's one of those things whereas - once you've gone to far, once you've read too much, no turning back. Late in life, religious convert is just not an alternative once you cross a certain point.

Personally speaking - No amount of death, hurt nor pain can scare me into the comfort of believing heaven, nor would I pray. Even on my deathbed.

"Of course," replied the man, "I would have the arrow pulled out as quickly as possible." The Buddha concluded, "That is wise, for the task before us is the solving of life's problems; until the problems are solved, these questions are of secondary importance."
