I think its a bit too red overall, although it could work... add another color or change the color of the links or change the background color to a dark grey instead... Also I would center the header too to keep consistancy with everything else centered in the page

the only thing im not keen on is the text colour, its too similar to the background in some places but otherwise it looks great..
