Did you know for every computer you get Zango installed, you will never get commissions from those customers for sites like AFF, Cams.com, Webcams.com, Totemcash, and many others? Plus, nobody else but the person that is buying the stolen traffic will ever get credit as long as that shitware is on their system?
When the user has Zango on their system, if you send a surfer to AFF or the other targeted sites, they will get a popup that covers the existing window that contains your refcode, with someone elses affiliate code and cookies are overwritten as well.

I know you will do what you want and feel is right, but I personally don't see how that .40 is worth losing a potential customer from all of these programs.

It's other affiliates that buy keywords and URL's with zango, not necessarily zango themselves. So for every zango infected computer, affiliates who bought advertising for zango for the programs listed on your site, when one clicks your link and buys you lose the sale to them. Simple as that.

For every 40 cents you make per install, you lose sales to every other program that is advertised via zango on your site(s).

I'm not defending anyone, but the last time I looked, Zango's installer told the user what they are installing. It never silently installed anything.

i noticed similar results.

back in the day these kinds of installs were bad news, but in the face of lawsuits after lawsuits the major install programs cleaned up their acts.

of course there are still nasty installs floating around like from some guy in russia who is paying a few cents per virus install (~may06 news)
