I know what you mean, sending them a w9 by mail or fax does suck.

I noticed the same thing this morning. I've gotten more this year than every other year combined. I have no problem with it, its regular paperwork required when you run a business, just sort of odd.

Well, it really is pretty common.

Hey do you still have any wallpaper or screen saver sites? If so could you please hit me up. Thanks.

I can see how sending 100 faxes would suck. But providing SSN through affil admin of the program is also good enough. As long as I have that info, QuickBooks will do the rest for me.

Thank you that was my overall point but everyone wants to jump the gun and think I am being out of line by asking this.

If it is law for them to have this info why do only certain companies ask for this info?

Thanks bro always liked yah and not trying come of mean sorry about that. I am just a bit frustrated that they all want this now. What about 5 years ago or when I signed up.

If it is how it is I will have to adjust but I just don't like the prospect anyways we all need to vent just a little bit

One thing to consider is I would imagine companies are trying much harder these days to have ALL paperwork up to code. It would really suck to get investigated for porn related stuff and come off clean only to get busted for tax stuff.

Yes good point as well. I am just wondering is it an actual law that the companies need a w9 or is soc enough? If it is why don't the some of the big guys ask for this info?

It scares me the reps prob have access to some of this info; I think even soc in a way is pushing it.

On another note why not just add the w9 into the sign up form if it is legally required or does it have to be faxed or mailed?

I was not saying that I am not sending in any w9 forms and would not have a problem sending when asked by your company.

I guess the main point I want to know is the above question as it seems when I signed up for one sponsor they had the w9 form online.

Thanks

I agree with it being scary to send info to some companies. There are a lot of companies on the board that hire shady guys who you can't trust.

My suggestion would be to get a tax ID for all your stuff. You can do it immediately online on the department of revenue website. Use that instead of your SS# for all your business.
