Dreamweaver MX is badass

I just formated c and decided to install the new dreamweaver. It's got a lot of great features. I especially like the php intergration, does more than homesite. I Used to use both programs for development and design. Now all I need is DWMX.
Good job Macromedia!

I just installed HTML-Kit, and have been working with it all day. I've dropped Homesite now.. too many bugs.

I just installed Flash MX - It looks very similar to Flash 5, but has some major improvements.

Checkout EditPlus... it does some nice code coloring and auto-indent of the most used coding languages... php / html / vbs / jsp / c(++) / ....
I just love this 750kb tool!

I see most of you use other tools too. Maybe all you do is code? Well, us multitaskers need something for design and code. With that said,... DMX is the best tool out there...Hands down. Anyone care to argue with that? Let's go!

I must say, besides notepad for writing code, a little application called TextPad is also great! Heaps of extremely handy editing features.

Notepad sucks ass....can't handle large files just to name 1 idiotic
feature.... can't have multiple files in 1 window, lack of filemanager, search and replace are some of the other usefull
features that are lacking.

Do yourself a favour get:

ULTRAEDIT

Linux editors are cool for quick fixes without reuploading files.
For complete developement they are shite....well except for
vi, vim and emacs but 95% of people using them know hardly
how they work

Not really I just always prefer developing directly on the server first no chance of loosing work

second you can always see your progress.

third what do other dev tools offer highlighted code etc..... I dont really make that many mistakes while typing and debugging is really easy in php.

The latest version of notepad has all that covered. Except for multiple files in one window.

Congratiolations Foe you must be falling in the 5% category
then ofcourse your arguments of "losing" work is not valid.
Ultraedit makes safety copies every x amount of time.. and
developing on your servers only really works if you have

a: The servers in your LAN
b: fast ass connection

Then of course there is always the option to work on a win
workstation accesing the files on your server through samba
so that you can work with an extremely friendly editor like
UltraEdit directly on your servers....and have the same benefits,
speed, and direct progress as you describe above

And a filemanager which you can use to browse directories,
do search and replaces in (multiple) directories even without

Oh Ultraedit has excellent ident feature aswell....save you endless
tabs to write neat and easy readable code....that's another
excellent feature which is NOT present in either notepad or linux
editors.

DynaMite

Oh I'm related to Utlraedit and I don't have a refer code...it's just
a KICKASS editor...which at least deserves to be tried out :-)
