CynthiaB 10-04-2006 08:56 AM

Love Sushi - we have a little place here in OC where they float the plates on a little river that runs around the bar. Love California rolls and crunchy rolls and Philadelphia rolls with cream cheese in them.

gecko 10-04-2006 08:59 AM

I love it.. in fact I'm eating some right now

fuzebox 10-04-2006 09:24 AM

I just went to a nice place here... There are 3-4 really good places but they are pretty damn pricey. I just paid about 2x what I'd pay in Vancouver for a similar meal.

I agree Sushi Rock is Run By Thai Peeps anyway.....

as far as sushi in Fort lauderdale (for hardcore sushi lovers, not rolls :winkwink: ) I haven't found a good spot yet.

tranza 10-04-2006 02:16 PM

One of the best in Atlanta.

http://www.mfsushibar.com/

This is what I order when I go there.

Lobster TarTar Salad
Steamed lobster mixed with light mayo, masago and topped with avocado and eel sauce ................................................. $14.50

Sashimi Combination for (1)
An assortment of fresh fish, chef's choice................................. $30.00

MF Sushibar was highlighted in the May 2004 issue for "8 Great Sushi Restaurants in the Nation". John Mariani gushed, "Sushi is all that's served at this handsomely designed, very colorful restaurant. The range is exeptional, the tuan belly is the best I've had in the United States and the maki rolls are addictive." To read the full article, please log on to www.delta-sky.com

Da Ru Ma in Naples, FL is very good - very fresh.
There's a great one on Seabreeze in Daytona Beach...can't recall the name though.
Houston has MANY awesome sushi joints...too many to list.

Sushi does not mean raw =\ The majority of ingredients in Sushi are usually cooked. You are thinking about Sashime, or raw fish.

Yep =) I'm more of a fan of cooked-ingredients in Sushi personally, I don't really like a very fishy taste that you get with Sashime.

rodney25 10-04-2006 06:04 PM
