                                          Uhh... that's not the reason why most contests are void in Quebec.

                                          Quebec laws say that in order to run a contest in Quebec, you have to get a license to do so, as well as pay the lottery board a duty on the prizes you're giving away.

                                          I'm not sure if poker is considered a contest.
