DVD ripping software - not for piracy ;)

I need to turn a home movie dvd into an mpeg or avi file so I can load it up on youtube and imbed it on a website of mine. Are there any good free programs, or since this is a one shot deal are there any good trials out there that can do this for me. The dvd movie is about 5 minutes long and it isn't copy protected because Costco made it for me. Thanks!

Haha browse into VIDEO_TS, the .VOD files are just mpeg files anyways, just rename and run

yeah right hahaha, easy??? Well the answer was easy, but it is a pain to get that mpeg2 encoded to regular mpeg format if you have never done it before haha. It took me hours to find out that I need a dvd decrypter, another program to make it internet ready, then it was ready for youtube... What a hastle!
