I love my work, providing toons. But I know that someday I will move on to mainstream work. I can't tell what future is for now but we'll see.CUSTOM TOONS, BLOG THEMES and DESIGNS | toonyshack AT gmail.comComment

Nope. This is the only job I where I (with my limited intelligence and skills) am making six figures a year. Short of becoming a prostitute or doing something illegal there is no way I can make the same amount in the real world. If I got a regular job I wouldn't make enough to live on.
Plus I wouldn't be able to function in a regular job. I have a lot of anxieties and this job is actually very relaxing and stress free for me. There are days when I barely work and just relax all day. I lead a very leasurely life and am making a lot more money than I probably deserve or am worthy of. I have no illusions about myself, I know I'm not smart, I just happen to got lucky and find a way of making easy money.
I've worked in the real world before and it's not easy. I busted my ass for peanuts.
If I had to get a "real job" in the world I would not be able to shop as much as I do, go on vacations or be as comfortable as I am right now. It's all about money. With a bit more substantial savings I can invest that and even become a millionaire. If I was "in the real world" doing a 9-5 I probably could barely afford my rent.Last edited by bausch; 09-27-2006, 12:19 AM.Comment

I forgot to add I would of course be interested in having a mainstream business of some sort, or expanding ways of making money like buying real estate/investing, but NEVER working for someone else. NEVER EVER AGAIN.
No 9-5 where you have to clock in. I seriously seriously would die.Comment

Yeah, I sometimes wonder how my life would look like if I have chosen a career in administration or diplomacy...I don't use ICQ anymore.Comment
