have you tried either? both? is one better than the other? I have been using my dad for years, but just found out the airlines no longer pay a commission, so I figured I might as well start doing it myself.

travelocity, orbitz just doesnt have the best deals.

try expedia too

i use expedia the most personally

I've had good luck with hotels.com packages and orbitz for little hotel stays. I usually check those two sites, and then the hotel and airline directly to see what the best deal is.

Start with priceline and hotwire for the lowest and then expedia, travelocity, orbitz, kayak, cheaptickets etc... after that.

i found out about kayak via gfy, that site rocks and usually has the best fares
