I have some at moniker, namecheap and godaddy (duh)..

As far as I know, most of them don't charge if you transfer your domain, they only obligate you to renew the domain along with your transfer.. I guess that's fair enough.. Maybe they pay some fees, and yeah, they have to get some credits for their servers, employees etc.. So if the transfer is free, you can register your domain at some cheap crappy service and transfer your domain after few days and use it at good registar.. And before its expiration, transfer it to cheap renewal registar and then push it back.. LOL Just a thought..

well, you can't transfer a domain away from the registrar within 60 days of it being registered there

Forgot to mention namesecure, but they haven't done any updates in ages and control panel kinda sux.. So I'd recommend moniker to everyone

Two registrars for me to. Godaddy is the main one and in 3 years never had a single problem with them.

Right now they are spread across 4-5 for different reasons.

Some are from sites I bought last year, or year before, and they were at namecheap, or GD and I just never switched them after the sale. Others at smaller, but most at Monikor.

However, once I have my own account set up and done this year, plus new site and tools completed. I will just move all my stuff there. Much easier for me to keep all in one place, especially one I own directly.

Then if other friends wanna host them there as well, we'll work it out.

Using 3 right now, used maybe 5-7 since I've been owning domains.
