Firefox question..

Ok, many times, if I click a link to a video that I guess is supposed to play in the browser window, I get a little think that says "Install missing plugin"

When I click the "Install missing plugin" button, it searches for the correct plugin, then returns a result that the plugin is unknown. This usually happens for an embedded WMV or MOV file. Now, I know which applications usually play those file types, but why won't Firefox find the right plugins and let me install them?

Any suggestions?

I hate that too. The only thing I don't like about FF.

For playing .mov files through a browser I use quicktime alternative. I'm not sure why you are having trouble playing wmv files. Maybe you should make sure you have the latest windows media player. I'm assuming you're running windows xp...
