I want google images traffic!

My mainstream site has been up for 6 months and is indexed on google but not google images. I want google image traffic since it not much of a competitive keyword and I think it can possibly make it convert. Any tips for receiving google images traffic as opposed to all the tips on blocking/redirecting it?

name each of your images after your keyword and then add the images to your sitemap

they like pages that don't change, kinda like yahoo does. If you leave a page and don't update it for like 6 months you start getting yahoo traffic.

I already have the images named searchable terms. Would editing the meta properties of the image in photoshop help at all?

some of my sites get a lot of google image traffic and I did nothing, basically named my images, and Google found them, can't say I'm making bank out of that traffic though
