Well, finally got my slide film back today, from my TX-2 [Panoramic Camera]
Despite the shocking job of scanning that the lab did, I've picked out some of the better shots of the trip I had.

If you guys want to see more, I'll post my digi shots as well...

All shot on Fuji Pro 400 (new film in Japan, had to test it. Results were.. ok.. little too much grain for my liking) - and Fortia 50 - the super saturation film. 100% delicious!

Is this photo from Tsuwano in Japan? I climbed a hill there that had something like 1,000 (torii) gates leading up to the top. If so, that is WAY off the beaten path...

Nah, I'm not that dedicated ;)
This was the Fushimi Inari temple / torii gates.
My gf and I did manage to walk off the beaten track for 2 hours, ended up on the top of a hill at a private temple, where we got fed, and sat down in the middle of a once-a-year ceremony for an hour or so.

One of those awesome experiences

yeah, it's a real disappointment for an otherwise perfect location.
The place is literally untouched - most of the buildings are left as is - full of prizes and cash registers and toys and displays etc.

The only 'good' graffiti is the 500yen piece in his hand; there's a scale model of him inside, and someone had stuck a 500yen piece in it.. so it was kinda 'smart' graf, but even so.. annoying

OMG I'm famous on the intertubes for sitting astride a giant SWEETO. Fucking nice shots all round, the Fortia is beautiful - if only I had a camera to run it through. Maybe I should have bought that TX2 in tokyo eh :P

I know it's been said a million times but these are awesome. How do you get such great color saturation, and what equipment do you use?

If I could take pictures half as good as you do I'd be happy.
