yeah i dont think Credit Card Companies can use the card as a bank account. probably some stupid US Law or something...

If you buy a product and return it you can get a credit on your CC..
And I know up here in Canada some of the "pay day advance" type places will do a credit on your debit card to put money in your bank.. or at least they did that a few years back. |

It used to be simply that you can't 'load' a CC as such. All they can do is re-credit your CC with up to the amount they debited from it. A CC was never designed to be used to keep a positive balance in.
Of course this has changed/is changing somewhat with debit cards (these most certainly can be credited even if PP or epass choose not to do so) and preloaded/prepaid credit cards. I presume simply because some cards still cannot be credited by a company by more than has been withdrawn by that company pp and epass simply prevent it on all cards. Obviously happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.
