    Feeling sick... what are your home remedies??

    Not sure what it was, but feeling horrible today...
    Ive been told everything from bread.. to weak tea to plain bread.
    Tried some stuff the have here.. Gex


    what are your guys recomendations? I HATE being sick & Im a big baby so I might try a few things if it will work & make me feel better! ;p

          I've found that quaffing cough syrup until you don't hurt anymore does help you get out of bed and get work done... for about 5 hours, until you crash, hard, so it's not so much a remedy as a temporary solution.

                  Do you even need to ask? Alcohol works great - either you don't feel sick anymore or you forget you are sick

                  I always find very spicy foods/sauces work well too....clear out the cold.

                      zinc tablets + aspirin + OJ or tea w/ honey and lemon.

                      or

                      bottle of NyQuil
                      box of NyQuil gel tabs
                      a jug of Gatorade.
                      a movie

                      climb into bed
                      open Gatorade.
                      swallow 3-4 gel tabs.
                      open NyQuil bottle and cover with plastic cup.
                      Turn on movie.
                      Pass out.
                      Each time you wake:
                      swig of NyQuil, gulp of Gatorade.

                      you should regain consciousness in 2-3 days. You will feel better.

                                                                                          Go get some Emergen-c and do it like every 3 hours.

                                                                                          Some people say Zinc helps them, can't say I've ever noticed a difference.

                                                                                          Drink a LOT of water. Sleep a lot, put fresh garlic in everything you make to eat.

                                                                                          Take a couple hot showers per day to keep you moist, open and flowing in your nasal passages.

                                                                                                                                                                                  back in louisiana, crawfish, of course. here, i haven't been able to find crawfish at all. i was told that a company used to raise em, but has since went out of business. they're called "river shrimp" here, in english. no clue about the spanish translation.
