Besides, it is bad for media, because people who have diffrent oponion concerning Chavez wouldn't like and even trust this source any more. |

It is probably the rolling headline for the story of Charlie Rangel's comments blasting Chavez. Rangel is a big liberal Democrat. Go to Drudge. Running the same story.

A lot of people in this world better be careful of Chavez. He is romancing all the leaders that have any where near his beliefes.

Cavuto is the one that trashed everyone who was against the war. Now he is the one with egg on his face.
The funny thing is that if you went to Fox News and walked around their offices where the regular workers are, you'd find that a majority of the people are liberals. Why? Because most of your journalistic community is left leaning. I'm not bashing them, it's just the nature of the world. The difference being that they are told from the top what stories and such to run. It's not so much news at it is entertainment. They run the stories they are told to. With that said, it is hard to deny their bias, just look at this article that shows memos they handed out before they went on the air: http://mediamatters.org/items/200407140002 As for their following, it can be attributed to a lot of different things. Whether we like it or not, they did revolutionize cable news. They came out with the shiney graphics, sound effects, controversial guests, and over-the-top news breaks. They also invested nearly a billion dollars to buy their way on to people's cable networks ($5-$10 a viewer) until their popularity rose. They have a large audience also because the right tends to need to connect to personalities like that more. Just listen to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannitty, etc and hear the intelligence level of their viewers during call-ins. You aren't exactly dealing with the highest levels of intelligence in the world. It's easier to herd dumb sheep than smart sheep. |

I admire Rangel for standing up for the president given their differences in philosophy but I disagree with him that only Americans can criticize Bush. If you disagree with that, then be consistent and don't criticize Chavez.

![]() Typical main news stories are... "Palestinian Government Will Recognize Israel, Abbas Says" - two paragraphs of yesterday news which was part of a speech by Abbas at the UN. (I think we found a new friend for the week in the Palestinian leadership - next week he'll be a terrorist collaborator.) "Venezuela's Chavez Repeats 'Devil' Insult" - More "offense" and "insult-riddled speeches" with Pataki saying Chavez "can take his cheap oil and do something for the poor people of Venezuela." - I'm sure Pataki will personally ensure the "poor people" of the US will continue to get and be paid for by him. "Should the U.S. Stop Funding the U.N.?" - But of course ![]() "Deal Reached on Detainee Treatment Bill" - Good news this time. The admin now have suitable words to play with in redefining the Geneva Convention to continue permitting imprisonment and torture as may be needed. MEANWHILE.... Other news agencies are not carrying any of these stories as headlines... instead... "Iraq torture 'worse after Saddam'" - Damn the UN again - it's another report from these nasty UN folks about further torture in Iraq (but chances are that will be "legal" according to US law) "US 'threatened to bomb' Pakistan" - "The United States threatened to bomb Pakistan "back to the stone age" unless it joined the fight against al-Qaeda, President Pervez Musharraf says. General Musharraf said the warning was delivered by former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage to Pakistan's intelligence director." Somehow Fox never found the space on their website for these news pieces, but again, Fox is more a propaganda agency than a news agency ![]()
