I've always questioned how they can determine the speed of light over the course of the universe with measurement experiments that fit on a table top.
Even if they are correct, it is by Earth time. Our perspective of one million years could be different than life on another planet. Just because the human body dies after 70 or so Earth years doesn't mean that would be case for life across the entire universe. Our entire lives may be the blink of an eye for life elsewhere. In that case they would in fact have the ability to travel what we consider to be insane distances. |
