What kind of lightning system do you use for shooting content?
Hi GFY. I have a question for you.
What kind of lightning system do you use to shoot adult content? Hensel, Falcon Eyes, Profoto, Elinchrom, Recam etc. And wich one is better and why?

Alien Bees for stills. Photoflex for video (but I want to move to kino flos before next summer). Don't know any others. Been using the Photoflex for 9 years. Just started stills a year or two ago, and after many GFY threads just went with the Alien Bees.

I try to leave the bad weather outside. Thunderstorms are better for fuckign in than working in.

I have been using Kinoflos (daylight bulbs) but they are not good for moving around a lot. I even have the Divas and they are still too big. :-( If you had a studio, I would think 3 of these are the way to go.
Also have a few Tota lights I use when I'm on the run somewhere, but make sure to set your white balance or you will get yellow / orange tint with the Totas (or any Tungstun bulbs). |

![]() I currently use three Smith-Vector 600W lights with reflector umbrellas, although I have been borrowing and soon will be purchasing a cooler Kino Flo lighting system. ADG Webmaster |
