I dont have a problem spiders - but I wouldnt get that close to that thing...

That's a St. Andrew's Cross spider. They are gorgeous and make huge nets sometimes between two trees. They are harmless to humans. Please don't kill them, they're wondrous creatures.

Yep that be an orb spider or banana or zipper spider what ever ya call it in your neckl of the woods - I have one out on my front porch beams that stays there till she dies - since spiders die after 1 year - and they really keep the mosquitos way down - heres a little pic on mine:

Oh man send that spider over here! I can put him in my tomatoes to keep the bugs off. I always catch all the biggest baddest spiders and put em in there. Just gotta make sure to hose em down before I pick ;)
