Major in Communications (combined with some international political studies). Didn't study in the USA though, but in Belgium at the University of Leuven.

GrouchyAdmin 09-19-2006 03:04 AM

The question should be:

Did you learn anything?

Shit, if I wanted to take another RPG/4 or Fortran class, I'd have it made.. other than dissipate's constant assgrabbing tactics.

I went for one and a half semesters to community college.

Geography class was actually hard, I had to drop out. I thought it would be simple, like basic high school geography, but it was complicated!! Like learning about all the different ocean currents, doldrums, westerlies... You had to know them all! And how the earth revolves around the sun and equinoxes and solstices.. and this was only the first day! I wanted to die so I just dropped out.
:helpme

It was supposed to be one of the easiest science classes with NO labs, and I still couldnt handle it. I would have died in chemistry oh physics.

Nismo 09-19-2006 01:57 PM

I went to college for a year, dropped out, went back after 3 years, transfered out of state and now I can't wait till next semester so I can start back.

I dropped out of high school mid-way through my Senior year, and the next week passed my GED, and then joined the Navy for six years. Loads of technical training and correspondence classes while in the USN.

Then, 6 years of fulltime college (3 majors - Social Work, Sociology, History, and two minors - Psychology and Secondary Education, but no "official" degrees), plus dozens of units of correspondence classes, and even more professional classes and training than I can recall.

I once caluclated that I have enough units for a Doctorate, but at this time in my life, I could care less.

I've learned more on my own than I ever did through college, most of it unrelated to my college studies. I am very self-motivated, and I enjoy learning for the sake of learning.

With all that said, I strongly support a strong formal liberal arts education for most people, preferably provided free of charge by the government.

tttcash 09-20-2006 11:27 AM

Ray is a SUNY man. Why not NYU? I thought about going to NYU for my masters, but I really don't want to do any more studying. 4 hard years is enough for me.

Congrats Everyone For Even Making An Attempt To Go To College!
