I was in a parking lot. Though I consider pigeons flying rats, they have always gotten away from my car in time, so they're not stupid. Today, though, I was driving really slowly through a parking lot and this group of pigepns was pecking away at shit on the ground. Usually, they have some magical way of getting the fuck out of the way just in time. One guy was not so lucky today. I ran right over him. He was smushed into the pavement. I am pretty sure he died. Still, I did not get out to check. If it was someone's pet cat or dog, I would have. Please tell me I did the right thing by just driving away.
