    interesting spam idea?

i just got a spam email (surprise) and the link they gave for their website/service/whatever was:

    http://rd.yahoo.com/dir/?http://their.website.com

could this count a hit for this url in yahoo's engine and rank them more popular? quite a nifty idea.. and some people might be more inclined to click it if they saw yahoo.com
php/mysql guru. hosting, coding, all that jazz.

spammers have been doing that for years now, & all the abuse@ e-mails end up at yahoo.

I bet yahoo just fucking loves it.

They do it for a reason, it's so it gets through the smtp servers. Used mainly for aol, and other popular places.

You just gave a new idea to the spammers who didn't know about it yet.

            Good Job
