I dont have any kids but thinking of getting a minivan. When we travel to shoot ,I take my dogs and my equipment and would like to be able to stretch out when its not my turn to drive.

I just have a hard time seeing myself behind a minivan ..:disgust but i guess it's pretty much a done deal .. she wants it so I guess we'll be getting it ..:winkwink:

Unless you are so concerned with what others think about you, mini-vans kick serious ass. Not only do they have tons of room, typically they get much better gas milage than an SVU. They also really drive like a car and have more than enough power.

Not to mention they kick ass for family trips, shopping, or anything else where storage plus personal comfort for several people is key.

get one of the new SUV's instead, much better solution

Does anyone still make full-sized vans?

Ok, so some people think this vehicle is ugly, but I absolutely LOVE it. It's not necessarily an SUV and it's not necessarily a mini-van.

BTW, it's very reasonably priced.

Yes, but you can save a bundle on hotel rooms if you get one equipped for camping!

I keep joking with my wife that she should give up the Yukon and get a mini van! I'd never do it though.

:2 cents:

We're on our 2nd Yukon in 3 years. Got into 2 accidents in the first one. I was driving with my wife 7 1/2 months pregnant and my daughter in it the first time. My wife was driving by herself the second time.

NEITHER ACCIDENTS WERE OUR FAULTS and I feel that being in the big ass truck most definitely saved us!

I just feel the Yukon is way more safe and would rather pay the crazy gas prices and feel confident that my wife and kids are driving in what amounts to being a friggin' tank god forbid they get into a serious accident

FYI, not counting payments and insurance - the Yukon costs me $800 per month on gas alone :winkwink:

I like mini vans. They ride smooth and have a lot of room.
