frogman....if you had just made it clear that it was your site, there would have been no problem imho, and probably received compliments for your project. instead, you used the most basic marketing spin on a bunch of professional marketers, apparently thinking they wouldn't see it for what is was. just come clean and quit being defensive..you have a potentially good product :)

Blah it was alright. What it missed to say (unless I didn't see it while skimming) is that you can successfully block the low-paying advertisers from advertising and that way, keep your eCPM up. Just gotta know who to remove. There is tons of shitty doorway funnel domains that only aim to upsell the purchased Adwords clicks to other PPC programs and make bank that way.... those are the lowest paying clicks, by far.

Adsense is far from being dead, but glad to see that the fella is making bank off commission sales.

I forgot to mention before: Once you get on-site advertisers who specifically advertise on your site only via Adsense, you suddenly find yourself making dollars a click. Not many CPA programs that can claim such a payout per click average. :error

I am actually doing much better click 2 click with Yahoo as compared to Adsense.

actuaally i would like another gmail invite , and i did use a throwaway email i just didnt really like the marketting technique .. it makes the information seem worthless to be honest.. If the information is valid . most likely a user will want the advice from the person ( ie adverts and such ) The way its setup it seems more like a trick to get the users email address, and thats just lame... i wouldnt sell my own address for $100 ..

Explain? I have seen Adsense improve over the years and now it is on its decline. That is not the fault of the SE SPAMMERS it is a product of Google's greed and that of the Adwords subscribers.

I still don't understand what you're complaining about. Google realized that Adsense clicks aren't worth as much as search results clicks, which is obviously true even if you don't include the SE spammers. So they allowed advertisers to bid on them with a seperate price, a price that reflects the true value of the traffic. That it's less than the search results value is obvious, what google did was against the greed of the SE spammers. Prices for adsense will rise again, there may be an adaption time during which prices will be lower, but just as with the search results ads, prices will soon reflect the real value of the traffic as pricing always works in a free market. Adsense is far from dead. This guy just used a provocative headline and an affiliate program to get subscribers to his email list. That's good marketing in my opinion. But I disagree with his conclusions in the free ebook.

The purpose of the text was not to put people off from Adsense but to give them cause to reflect on ways to set up multiple streams of income. EVERYONE should have more than one iron in the fire and I would guess that most people on this board do just that.

i dont think adsense is dead, maybe it just needs alittle injection.

adsense is dying. the ROI on adwords clicks is terrible.. the adwords vouchers were the last gasp. There's far better ways to market than adwords.

I am the target market for what that ebook is pushing, and I agree with whats being said. I'm curious to see what gets said in the second ebook, this first one seemed to be mostly choir preaching.

Fr0gs, I think what may be causing some of the response you're getting may be due to the fact that this is an adult board, and I doubt that there are as many webmasters here that are as vested in adsense as there may be in other places...
