When I play, if i get hit and it bounces, i'm actually more pissed off than if i were to be hit,, BOUNCED balls hurt more!.....

You're right though, you rarely get hit with just 1 ball, unless you're snapping back and forth... more often than not, you get hit with 5-15 balls.

Most sensitive spots are Neck, Back, (specially right below the shoulderblades), nuts and Ass. Arms/legs you barely feel. But most people dont realize that when you're playing, your adrenaline is pumping so much that you dont even feel when you're shot. Doing a run through and bunkering someone is a great feeling. getting bunkered by more than 1 opponent is 1 of those times where you wish it was all a dream :thumbsup

I played it once, a whole day. We were around 60 people and it was organized a s a tournament. Was great fun!

When you wear a sweater and gloves, it doesn't hurt to much.

This year we had a grand opening of our latest field, Toombstone. It's not like all other western themed fields that only has facades. These are actual houses. We still have a couple more houses and a water tower to build, but that will be for next year.

It's one of the most fun fields I've played at. So many different scenarios we can make for customers there :)

axelcat 09-13-2006 01:06 PM

lots of fun

You're right. And the first time I was in situation like this, I decided that I'd never ever join the army if I don't have to. Imagining those were real bullets which won't just hurt a little, but actually kill you is a fucking scary thought.

Yeah, The only one that hurts me really is the knuckle shot I don't wear gloves often

I have almost perfected my snap shooting. 1 on 1's give me the best practices more then anything. Try being shot by a reball Ouch!

PlayaPlaya 09-13-2006 01:42 PM

https://youtube.com/watch.php?v=dbGPFO5lEA0 Found this old clip on another forum, I can't imagine why someone would volunteer for that, but he said that was with semi-automatic (no ramping) 300fps reballs shooting @ about 16bps i think.

If anyone is in the NYC area and wants to get together for a game, let me know. I haven't played in a few months but can't wait to start my season again (i like to take the summers off).

I love paintball. shits fun as hell :D

Wildcard2 09-13-2006 02:59 PM

I use to play several times a month about 14yrs back...when pump guns were the thing. Nelspot 007 was the gun to use..(very old hand gun, 10shot tube rnds).
Then got into tourns with my team..still pump guns back then, but I upgraded to a Bud Orr Sniper rifle (150 rnds).

Didn't play for since then...but getting back into it again..so had to do a little updating in my gun. Tippmann A-5, man have these guns changed just take a look at how you can mod them up.
A-5 Mods

I change my gun around to much and I will have the cops around my house in no time if the nosey neighbours are looking.

But love the game..going back into it again like before.

The A5 is a fun marker. I like the one with RT trigger... all mechanical and you can still shoot 15+ BPS, if you wanna do that. But it eat quite a lot of air.

The last gun I bought was an old Phantom, all black and with a bottom line. I frickin loved those back in the days. 2 screws and you have opened the gun, then 3 parts to clean. Can't get more simple than that and the sound from it.... :D

I'm looking for a Sterling too. I've found 2 this week that are selling theirs, hopefully I'll get a good deal on one...

Super fun to paintball

Rinaldo 09-13-2006 05:30 PM

A couple of us here actually play competitively, I know spotter and I do.
I have played in dozens of tournaments, local and at the World cup.
It's changed a lot, I prefer woods ball. I've been playing 14 years and nothing will be as fun as playing in the woods.
It's certainly an expensive sport, $1000 for a marker (gun)
about $400 in equipment.
$70 rougly every time you play (paint and entry fees)
And I can see why a lot of people get frustrated since we're paying for it ourselves and it's expensive yet these 12 year olds are playing us with their parent's money with complete disregard for how money is made.

Z 09-13-2006 08:31 PM

I started playing when I was a kid and LOVE paintball.

I play paintball and have played since 1990. I am currently playing in the NPPL Circuit which is a national event and shown on ESPN. I love the sport and it is growing more and more. Sponsors from all over the place are finally seeing the visibility it has in magazine, online (http://www.pbnation.com, ESPN, Fox Sports, OLN (Outdoorlife Network) and mainstream media TV/Movies.

If you have anyquestion about it let me know and I will be more than happy to help out. I live in SoCal and play 2 - 3 times a week prior to a tourney. The next one is in Orange County Fairgrounds in CA.

I've played and own two teams with over 40 players in total in the past as well and the friends and fun and enemies you make are great :P Team Envy, KGB were mine and then I moved on to Team Bushwhackers, sponsored by Planet Eclipse (Ego's) , from Hollywood Sports Park, now plaing the last of the season with Wicked and then 2007 going back to my own team and back to Smart Parts the #1 patent owner and promotion machine behind the sport.

If you have an interest in doing some promotions and marketing with a team or my team let me know and come out and play .. I am all about the play and business side of things.

In fact I played with the Adult Webmasters outting in S.C. Village a couples years back.

Give me a call any time if you need some advice, gear, wanna play or wanna get advertise options thrown at ya for fun,

if you play indoors it kills so much worse.. gotta play outdoors & none of that speed ball crap... play the courses!

Anadrol 09-16-2006 07:00 PM

Recreational PB is fun for family and friends to mess around and just relax that is for sure.

Tournament play or "speed ball" is fun if you want to let out agression and get a good work out and cardio run and are very competative and organized.

It all depends what you like and want....

squishypimp 09-16-2006 07:05 PM

we should do paintballing at a convention!
