Help installing air conditioner
The window in my room's too big. The AC unit is about half a foot smaller than the window.
Do I just install it and block off the excess space? I'm concerned about safety also as I'm on the main floor and it would be easy to break in just by pushing the AC unit in. |

Measure how big the AC is. Then, get some plywood and put it over the window. Now, cut a hole that fits the measurement of the AC. When you've done fitting it in the window, go outside, and paint over the plywood in whatever color the house is.
It's a temporary fix, but it should do the trick.. just makes sure you don't use wood that's to flimsy.

Never mind...I figured out there was this adjustable panel that you could pull out...
It's not my AC and it's the first time I've had to use a window AC instead of central.. Thx guys. |
