Finally Site Scrapers can get WHACKED!

I know I'm not alone when it comes to watching my SE traffic and sales go down the tubes thanks to site scrapers and content theives.

I've had enough and I have launched a FREE service for webmasters who want to help shut down site scrapers stealing their business!

Get Site Scrapers WHACKED

Your participation is vital to the success of all the webmasters for whom I will be filing consolidated complaints with coroborative evidence (on an ongoing basis) to put site scrapers (and their accomplices) out of business.

Thanks,

unless you work directly with search engine you probally wont get anything done. scrapper sites cost nothing and can be put up faster then you can blink.

hahaha... "then what happens"

you weren't paying attention.

1) you go to his site,
2) end up at the complaint form
3) you are now free traffic that is supposed to click a banner and sign up for Sexsearch.com or whatever else is there.

If I needed reasons, excuses, about why this could not be done, I could have just looked at my own 'Cons List'.

It never ceases to amaze me how unimaginative and STUCK inside the box you guys are. Don't call it being realistic - it's being lazy.

Yes, this is potentially an impossible situation. The odds are stacked against it.

I can see that, aside from cutting and pasting dirty pictures, and peddling mysogyny as far as you can without busted for it, you guys don't have much creative experience (or aptitude) to deal with 'impossible situations' - you seem to just hide behind the obvious.

Thank-you very much for pointing out all the things most of us knew before this thread. Your sig placements are secure now.

Now, is there ANYONE here who is capable of outside the box thinking and willing to give it a run?

There IS a point to this thread, but maybe I'm in the wrong end of the pool.

I'm disappointed, but not really surprised by the complacent attitudes of many webmasters about this issue - I guess just a few of us will have to struggle on until others decide to step outside the box.

I have added my next installment of analysis:Anatomy of a Site Scraper

In order to go after site scrapers, we need to understand them and know their weaknesses. These are addressed in this last article.

I believe that's what you meant to say.

This place has a low % of real webmasters concerned with such issues.
If you had wanted mad views to your post you should have entitled it,
"Shaving proof (DRAMA!!!), and... Would you hit it? (PIC!!!)"

Seriously though, scrapers are tied at the bottom of the net scum pool with spyware & trojan traps. I finally shut down a site a couple years ago that kept getting scraped to death.

You're a breath of fresh air. Thanks for your comments.

There's no question that when a scraper uses false information to procure domains, web hosts, software, and hides behind spamdexing havens like 'Class C IP Farms' (which protect their secret identitites) it's an uphill wild goose chase going after the scraper.

But there is a hard trail to: the hosts, registrars, payment processors, sponsors, and addressing their enabling (through acts and/or ommisions) of the scrapers can (and should) put them in the line of scrutiny as well.

Some things can be achieved with the given state of affairs, but by applying some constructive attention to the problem may yield some new tools for us (scrapees) to deal with scrapers more effectively.

What makes stopping scrapers so hard?

I'm getting some interest from webmasters who have been scraped and still refuse to accept that there isn't anything we can do about it.

Step-by-step case studies are coming up next..

I have started a Case Study related to dealing with scrapers:

Hunting Site Scrapers Case Study 1 / Part 1

It addresses scraper detection, abuse definitions, and will follow through the motions of collecting evidence and filing the complaints.
