Yeah, was a nice KO. Silva's head was spilt open and bleeding before he even hit the ground.

Looked like Crocop was alot more aggressive in his 2 fights then normal. Usually he's more of a counter puncher and backing away. This time is was moving forward and to side more.

The Nogiera / Barnett fight was really good IMO. I love a good ground battle. That fight could've gone either way. I think Cro Cop is gonna take it all!

For those that have no idea about Pride FC. Put it this way, as far as the heavyweights go, you could take any of the top 3 (Fedor, Cro Cop, Nogiera etc.) and Tim Silvia (UFC Champ) would just have to hand his belt over. No questions asked. No fight nessecary. But it would be fun to see anyway. I'd love to see any UFC heavyweight try to stop a Cro Cop high kick!

Everyone said the exact same thing about Tim's chances against Arlovsky. I'm no Tim Sylvia fan at all, but fights are not as clear-cut as you try to make it sound. Anything can happen in any fight at any time, there is never a guaranteed victory. Especially not in mma.

A couple of thoughts on the american PPV:

1. Trigg is terrible as an announcer. Period. He isn't getting any better. Nobody cares about what he would do in that situation because nine times out of ten the fighters in the ring are much better than he ever was. All he talks about is himself.

2. I'm surprised that one of judges gave the fight to Nog. He clearly lost that fight by Pride scoring rules, which place a heavy emphasis on effort to finish the fight. Watching him scream in pain from the kneebar was surreal, much like watching Silva get KTFO.

3. Watching Silva get dominated like that was bizarre. He's usually on the other side of the ass-kicking. Regardless of Silva coming in at a heavier weight, he looked like the smaller, weaker fighter. And, of course, he looked blown-up and sluggish. What a massacre.

4. The force was strong with the thumbchuck on this card. This is becoming more of a problem over time. Fighters are subconciously realizing that a failed punch can turn into a devestating open-handed poke in a split-second and letting the fingers go (well, at least that's my theory).

Has anyone else heard about Pride losing Japanese TV contract? I heard they may be in trouble and it may have to do with paying there fighters so well? That was the rumor why Silvia was not going to fight Chuck Lidell now, because UFC didn't want to help them while they may be having problems. Don't know just what I heard. Was wondering if anyone knew anything?
