Hell.. just apply for a grant for the study of internet users that frequent adult paysites..
Wouldn't be any worse than grants for the study of the sex life of a bumble bee or other crazy grants that have been approved...
Just make sure you know how to apply for one.. It has to be expertly worded or you can forget it.

You can "research" porn and get government grants. You also may qualify for grants from research foundations or charitable trusts.
