For me it was more the pressure than the pain that annoyed me. However, the pain I had before hand really made it worth getting them out. Just look after the sockets afterwards.

Everybody's had real good advice and I would definitely stock up on stuff like pudding and jello and other soft things like that. Also, get some of that instant mashed potato mix because those are what I ate a lot because they're soft, easy to make and pretty filling too. Another thing is definitely don't take any of the pain killers they give you on an empty stomach because it will make you throw up. Trust me I did that my first night and it wasn't fun. Other than that just kind of ease into the more solid foods after a few days and it will probably hurt the first few times something hits back there but it will get better.

The funny thing is that I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and I was expecting a lot of pain, but hell, it was painless getting them out and even after the numbing wore off, I still never felt an ounce of pain. I guess I was a fortunate one, ha ha.
