Yes, please tell me. :)

ladida 09-09-2006 02:32 PM

Sure. I was first waiting for him to post. Gimme few mins to calculate.

ladida 09-09-2006 02:58 PM

Okay, with little less then 2k members, and i'll give you some 25% retention, you do some 25 joins a day.

Nope. But now I understand why you don't think there are companies doing 5k sales a day. :)

RogerV 09-09-2006 05:31 PM

I did 1000 sales a day no prob back before 1997-2002 since then its been a struggle to many fly by nights that get traffic.. Jstyles is right the pie is cut up big time

J$tyle$ 09-09-2006 05:37 PM

With everything. Well, almost, not 100% sure about retention, I have different pricing options and it would be a pain to follow it all. If my rebills go up every month, then Im happy.

andrej_NDC 09-09-2006 05:48 PM

Please tell me how much sales BBO makes a day.

Now you're just plain lying. You want to tell me you have more members then that?
If your retention is greater, you make even less then 25 new joins a day. We're talking here any kind of joins, averaged on a monthly basis, you do understand that?

As for BBO, not your concern.

What is and is not my concern, decide I, not you. Why should I average everything on a monthly basis? I was making 10 sales a day in the first month when I released the program. But I won't use those old numbers to average anything. Why should I?

Then on what period would you actually average the initial question "what programs do you guys think do 1000 new joins a day or more?" ?
A peak, one time 1000 joins, and then 100 later constantly? Would you consider that as a 1000 joins a day program? If that is so, there is shitload of "1000 joins a day" programs, but those are not 1000 joins a day programs. They are 100 joins a day programs, with 1 peak day, nothing more, nothing less.

If i can run 100 metres in 10 seconds, doesn't mean i can do 1000 in 100.

Brujah 09-09-2006 06:13 PM

haha.. that wasn't Al. Damn, c'mon you guys.

You seriously think programs do 100 joins a day for months in a row and then one day jump to 1000 and then jump back?

Program stats tend to be fairly stable and predictable.

btw about your retention math. Here is how it would look like with 25 sales a day and 25% retention. Correct me if Im wrong:

25 x 30 = 750
750 x 0.25 = 190

1. 190
2. 190+190x0.25=190+50=240
3. 190+240x0.25=250
4. 190+250x0.25=252
5. 190+252x0.25=253

The growth would stop at around 250 members.
I like to discuss with you, you seem to have a clue. :)

edit: nevermind, I just wanted to bump this thread since it was burried on 3rd page already but looks like Andrej just did the same

Yes i know they are fairly constant throughout the months, thus i averaged it on a monthly basis, but to brake it down for andrej and the likes. Seemed to me he jumped on me for making an average based on 30 days. Programs can however spike one day to 1000 if they run a special promotion, or they get extra marketing, especially if it was in mainstream media. That however, doesn't make them a 1000 joins a day programs. And let's not forget it, you asked for 1000 NEW joins. Program doing 1000 new joins a day, has roughly at least 80k members, there are very FEW programs doing that (again I'm excluding dating sites)

I didn't jump on you. And not for making an average based on 30 days, but the lifetime of the program. :)

I did it differently. You're not counting new joins in the rebills and 25% through multiple months (those members that stay for 3+ months...) etc. But anyway, possible i messed up somewhere. Plus, i based that on the current member volume, i dont know how you got there.

Yeah, I did it about active members only. 750 new joins every month, 190 of them stay, thats the first number each month. Then the older members.

bigdog 09-10-2006 03:22 PM

I have personally seen the NDC stats. They do 8000 joins a day

D-Money 10-02-2009 08:49 PM

Classic thread.

My guess is WiredGuy is the biggest.

:(

will76 10-02-2009 09:08 PM

3 years ago before tube sites started cranking, the economy started tanking.......

I wonder how many who said they were doing 1000+ joins a day back then are still doing it now.

jakethedog 10-02-2009 10:02 PM

in 2006 .. I would bet Rob FTV Girls was doing that easily .. Haven't heard or seem much of him in a yr I bet .. anyone know anything about what he has been up to besides getting busted for a 175MPH pass in his Lambo and it making it to CNN ..

NickB. 10-02-2009 11:23 PM

This seems to be an old thread... is it?
