The US for all their possession in the second half they really did not do it in the penalty area. But they did themselves proud and can walk away from this game with their heads held high. The Germans best just walk away.

On the comercial thing...football isn't a stop and start game so we only get comercials durring the half time over here. I am sure that is pretty much the same in most countries.

When the USA had the World Cup they tried to have the game changed into four quarters so there could be comercials and it was nearly enough to cause diplomatic relations to break down amongst football loving countries. Can't blame them..imagine if a country that doesn't play baseball hosted one tournament and decided they had the right to change the rules of a game that is more important than religion in some countries.

So, to get around it when the World Cup was in the USA they had little rotating adverts in the corncer of the screen..near the score. Don't know if ESPN are still doing that.

Since noone answered I will. It's commercial free because that's the way it's played, in 2 halfs of 45 minutes each. Sports channels use those 15 minutes between the first half and the second half to advertise all they want, and to do an analysis of the game.

In some countries (like Mexico) they insert advertisement in the bottom on the screen.. not all the time, but still quite often. They also use computer special effects to make it look as if the people in the stands were holding huge advertisement signs haha... it's cool..

The same as Italy Many times....NOT ALWAYS but many many
times Germany plays dirty soccer...begging for fouls and cards,
diving when they don't see a change of scoring and the arrogance
in interviews pre and post matches....

Another example....Formula 1....Germany has the absolute best
driver that ever existed...M. Schumacher...without a doubt the
most skilled driver of all.....The few times he can't win always
something fishy happens.....

We all remember the clashes with Hill, Villeneuve, Hakkinen, etc
And just pretending nothing has happened..that's what I don't
like about German sports in General...If you win by class GREAT

I'm not exaclty sure what you mean by that. All the time, when are you talking about? If you're saying that the German teams that were around 10 years ago or so can't play soccer (the German team that actually won a world cup "recently"), then you obviously haven't got much of a clue.

Matthaus, Brehme, Klinsmann (he was great, despite the fact that he was even more of a homo diver than Klose is), and Voller.
