hahah! No stores in Vegas, and buying them on Ebay not only has a markup, but the shipping costs are more than the shoes themselves!

Yeah. I guess they are selling below value in the stores. Sorry you can't get em now. I think you would like the price/value equation.

I'm usually a snob with shoe brands/etc. but I'd like to give these a shot... They look cleaner than the Nike's in my opinion.

I'm with you Sherm. Grew up having to wear those cheap plastic converse that would slip and slide up and down the court. We called em steam rollers. When I got my own money, I made a habit never to buy cheap gear. When these came along, it looks like quality shoes with a different business model. I know it doesn't cost $100 bucks to make a shoe in asia, so I jumped on it.
