With the caveat that predicting the future is "for entertainment purposes only", my guess is that by 2026 $5m is going to feel more like $500k in todays terms.

hyperinflation...hyperinflation...hyperinflation! :Oh crap

Big enough for me. I guess I'll just invest it on realty. :)

If you believe that, then you should buy physical gold or silver for you $1 million :2 cents:

I'm not a gold bug, for a variety of reasons; you can't live in it, or eat it, or make much use out of the stuff. In general, I'm afraid that's a 'past' answer that may not apply well to future challenges. Also, too much of what I read smells of manipulation. Just one guys opinion. I'm certainly not overconfident enough to argue with people about it. But I'm young and have the next 50 years to worry about. I don't have a spare million dollars anyway. I've paid off my current home, and I'm working toward securing the type of real estate that I suspect will become much more desirable longterm. Win/Win, whether my uneasy feelings turn out to be right or wrong. If stockpiling metal in your basement makes you happy, good luck to you. Worst comes to worst, at least you'll be better off than the guys trading their fiat currency for more paper IOUs.
