Spyware that causes galleries to redirect?

Is it possible to be infected with spyware that causes galleries to redirect or is it most likely the galleries themselves doing the redirecting.

I was finding galleries that redirected only sometimes to other TGPs

I ran spybot and they don't seem to do it anymore.

yes i had the same thing. Ended up on yobt.com
I contacted this guy on ICQ last week. He told me it was some cheater traffic seller. And that he was going to fix it. I gave him some details he needed. So i think he didnt do anything.

Check your sites with firefox to see if it spyware with IE or not. What i did is skimmed my sites very closely. Since it was redirecting like 1 out 15. And i deleted and banned the guy or girl who was submitting these galleries to my sites. I cannot say it is yobt.com fault i dont know

No, I'm a tech dork. I know how to do this shit because it's what I used to do to make a living.

You kill IE in task manager, go into your internet options, reset everything in security to 'default', then if IE6 XP SP2 or so, you go to Programs, Manage Add Ons, and disable the shit you don't recognize there.

Then, you use HiJackThis to get the shit that Ad-Aware doesn't clean.. SpyBot's been worthless the last two years.

But thanks for asking so sweetly.

mmm Would be interesting to know 'what' it is.

Is it something that's installed on your system? (and if it is, is it limited to submitted galleries or FHG & tours also?)
Is it someone redirecting after you've hit the gallery?
Is it blindlink trading?

Can you elaborate please kenny? (or hit me up) Thanks

check out that site i dont trade through galleries only through a toplist. if you are being redirected to a tgp (for example yobt.com) from a gallery listing then you found it. But like i said before (scroll up) it is like not everytime. 1 out 10 a 15

You can skip the first 5 gals aswell since they are permanent.

thx for your time

also i have checked out the source of the gall that i thought was guilty of redirecting, but couldnt find anything not html or weird script. Therefore i assume it is spyware but i cant get rid of it with the standard spyware tools

a common ploy for tgp cheaters is to write a program that redirects viewers based on their ip.. so they make a gallery then assuming the first person who will be viewing it will be the gallery reviewer , that ip is logged so as NOT to redirect for that person .. but redirect randomly for everyone else

I had a trojan that had changed my dns settings. It's been a bit ago, so I can't remember how I finally figured out what it was. It only messed me up on certain sites and certain people's galleries.

I fixed it in the registry, I do remember that much.
