I was told by a friend that suppliments these days are amazing and its no longer worth taking steroids anymore.

Anybody know what he is talking about?

There are some pretty good supplements these days. Are they comparable to testosterone? Negative.

My friend told his body building friend that I took Creatine about 8years ago and had good gains from it. He laughed and said its old school and there is a pill you can take that give comparable gains to steroids without the side effects. He did say that he had a loss of sex drive for 1week after he got off of it.

supplements have made tremendous advances in the last 10 years.. but there is still nothing comparable to the right lifting routine, good diet combined with proper/intelligent steroid use.

prohormones are not "supplements" - "supplement" means more of something you need. prohormones are powerful drugs and basically steroids.

and in the US, they are banned.

actually... on a side note, Patrick Arnold, the guy who discovered pro hormones and started Ergopharm, just got sentenced to 3 months in jail for being part of a scheme to develop drugs that could get past sports testing. (for baseball i think)

Creatine has no real side effects other than holding a little water...

prohormones are trash, but a lot of people use them because they're scared of needles and they're in pill form i suppose

with that said, the "newbie" steroid has to be anavar... no side effects, no aromatization and quality lean muscle mass + its a pill

40mg everyday for 8 weeks, great strength and if your diet and training is on point you can probably put on about 6-9 pounds of quality lean mass while dropping a significant amount of body fat

prohormones do work but you have to take mountains of them and that comes with nasty side effects. Once you have trained on steriods, training without them really sucks.

you obvioulsy haven't been keeping up with your prohormones. I will not mention the latest and greatest since this is a huge board visited most likely by all different types of people...but I will mention the two that is no longer available on the market

M1t and Superdrol

Superdrol has been known to put 20+ lbs on people in 2 weeks...and it is a completely legal pro hormone and is not on the banned list.

The manafacturer stopped making it due to FDA pressure and threats.

trust me...there are prohormones out there just as strong if not stronger then some steroids.

Bruce Kneller from Gaspari got busted up the street from my house with a bunch of different animal and human steroids from obscure places which he was supposedly using to build knew compounds for new products that would be mislabled...and misrepresented. They would make a killing in sales before the FDA could get there hands on it and test it to find out just exactly was in the stuff.

Superdrol and Halodrol were both nixed in this way.

I'm going to have to agree with Young. I've been lifting for abut 20 years now and I have seen nothing like what's on the market now.

Superdrol doesn't quite do 20lbs in 2 weeks (LOL) but M1T was one of the first that put that kind of size onto people. 16lbs in a 4 week cycle was common. It was really hard on the liver though. No one should touch that stuff now.

Now the designer steroid companies are on version 3.0 of the products. If you can find something that packs on 20lbs of muscle like the current products can in under 6 weeks then you let the board know. No one should even try to do more than 20lbs in 6 weeks. It's bad for you in itself.

Do it naturally if you can. Some people won't listen still and will have to take the latest drol/vol/methylated concotion on the the market. They won't kill you and are somewhat safer than taking the old injectables.

Remember that at the end of the day all of the new pro-steroids don't have long term testing behind them. You might wind up permanantly sterile or with future chances of birth defects in your kids. There's no way of knowing at this point. Do you think knocking 9 months off of your training schedule is worth taking that risk? I don't.
