Yep. Actually Danny cleared this up for me. I thought it was $750.00 per site. Since I am talking about moving/changing four of them. It would be a bit hefty.

Danny over at CCBill cleared it up. $750.00 for your corp/business whatever for up to 30 sites I believe he had said.

So if you have more than one LLC (as I do) then you may need to pay that more than once, all depending on how you cut your checks, deal with financials, etc, etc.

While I've been lucky and not had to deal with it so much to this point, it would seem it's a nessesary evil. But.. paying it once per corp./LLC is one thing versus the rumored shit I had heard prior.

:2 cents:

Again, much thanks to all who've chimed in on their recommendations, and the Billling companies, and their reps I've managed to talk to today. I have not been able to get to all of you, but for those I have, much thanks on your time for explaining things.

:thumbsup

For your situation.. I think your own MA is the way to go.. Kimmy is the right person to hit up.. SegPay are willing to deal with celeb shit etc, but it might come and kick them in the ass at some point... Whatever, I think a merchant account is the right way to go... If KK can't help you, hit me up and I will hook you up with someone else who does not post here.

ajrocks 09-01-2006 07:18 AM

hit up Dan at 365 billing. They are doing really well for us.

Well I do not need a processor for the celebrity stuff. Those are taken care of. Plus I do not do any of that hardcore, sex tape business. So my grief's always been minimal.

I mainly need processing for the other 4 foot sites I have. I wouldn't mind a M.A. as it would probably be the best overall long term solution. But I know little about them. I've always dealt with 3rd party for my online over the years.

The main thing I've heard though with M.A.'s is you have to do a LOT of business a year/month. So that's my biggest thing is knowing the 4-1-1 on that part of it.

T'ank ye.

Hopefully a lot of good information is provided for others, as well as myself. I know I've been getting crash courses from the different companies. Unfortunately I do not have a day to just drop everything and talk to them all. But I am trying to talk to a couple each day to hear the different options.

But the people I've talked to thus far have been VERY informative, and cleared up some misconceptions about different things. Which is cool. Hopefully I will be able to talk to the last of the company reps over the next few.

:thumbsup

The most important thing is compliance. Can't stress that enough. Make sure you understand the rules and that you are not breaking them.

Have a good weekend :)

I'm guessing that you are referring to 2257, meeting VISA regs, or the billing companies??

I only do softcore/foot fetish, and celebrity. So I am a bit tame by comparison to many out there. Even with softcore, I have all 2257 just in case that law changes again in 2 years. Better to be safe then sorry. :thumbsup

I have heard however for compliance with some, mainly in M.A., you have to be incorporated. So if you deal with EU, you need a presence there, if based in U.S., etc.

(Just a follow up on people who were also interested in this information)

With all of the great information received thus far, and from the people who I have been able to get ahold of I think the solution would appear to be...

A Merchant Account

or

CCBill

My biggest sticking point is not being able to get paid via ACH via CCB. Because of how my company(s) are set up on our end. Having payments to ePass types of credit cards are added inconvience. We need it deposited directly to the business account(s).

Out of the 4 sites in question that would be involved in this (inital) billing change, there are two different companies, or LLC's involved. One I share with a busines partner, and one that's wholely owned by me. So that is two company names (a point of interest in some negotiations). So deposits, or payments, would have different account numbers.

A hastle, yes. But some of my sites belong under one company, and the others are wholely owned by my main. :Oh crap

As mentioned before, the celebrity site(s) are not moving right now. They are staying where they are. If I made those part of this package, then a M.A. would be the way to go all the way. But right now, I am just worried about the foot sites.

Some people who've posted in this thread for different companies I have not been able to get ahold of. Either the offlines are getting lost by ICQ, or they have not been online. So if you've dropped me a line, and not heard back. That is probably why. I have tried at least once to contact the companies who've responded to hear their pitch before making a decision.

For those who've taken the time to share their experiences, and companies who've been interested. Thank you for the time, follow ups, and interest in earning our business.

:thumbsup :thumbsup

My thoughts exactly mate. :thumbsup

I have two bill companies now, and changing one of them. In the volitile internet business, you need to have a plan B, or not have all your bill options in one basket. That's just good business sense. We've seen companies go to shit (like iBill) so you have to be agile.

funny how noone says hi to you - maybe you should consider dropping processing for unde-raged shit

For the record since this was bumped back up.

I ended up going with Paymonde, and CCBill for the sites in question. I split the cascade between the two and so far have been doing ok. No complaints from my members on the sites in question.

I have not received first wire from Paymode yet, as you have to wait a month to get the first payment, where others are 2 weeks. But beyond that, everything seems to be processing as normal.

I still have Verotel handling my celebrity site(s) as the ONLY processor. I have been happy with them since switching to them a year or so ago now. All payments on time, and support's good. Never a complaint from my members. If it were not for their $1500.00 Pro, I would have considered them for ALL SITES as they do ACH deposits (meaning I am not getting raped with a $15 per wire from the billing co. and another $11 from the bank per).

But so far so good.

:thumbsup

Moved my foot fetish sites from BHE to Paycom and CCBill. Can't complain even though they scrub much harder. No chargebacks with BHE and no chargebacks with CCBill / Paycom.

I was happy at BHE for almost a decade. But last year or so I had to move the celeb sites (Verotel). Next I had to move the footsies (Paymonde/CCBill). Regardless, it was a nice run. I had next to no chargebacks before, and not expecting any now.
