    Do Bills Ever Come Late?

    Sitting here running through some figures with the woman over funds.

    She just told me, "how come bills never get lost in the mail, checks do, but never bills"

    It got me thinking on how many times I have been told, "check in the mail, or it got lost in the mail."

    But my bills NEVER fucking come late, always on time.

      Mine have. Not as often as checks, but the mail has had screwy things happen with the bills at my place.

          My bills ALWAYS come late or never at all. Of course, according to whomever is billing me they were sent out long ago. And guess who suffers the consequences cuz their bill never made it to me or made it late? Yep...me. I even got my gas shut off once cuz I never got the bill. Then I had to pay a shitload to get it back on AND I couldn't leave ALL day cuz they said they'd be there sometime between 9am & 3pm. Of course they came about 2:30. Fuckers.

              That's kind of funny... I have to agree, I've had payments 'lost in the mail' but never missed getting a bill. Actually, I was concerned that I missed a bill last month from a bandwidth provider because it felt like I hadn't paid a bill in a while but it turned out I was just plain wrong. I not only paid the last invoice but I had in fact overpaid by an extra month on top of that a few months previous. LOL

              However, this brings up another interesting point... As a sponsor with my phone sex affiliate program I'm cutting checks to affiliates every month. I keep a list of checks that haven't cleared... Oddly enough I find it's mostly the really really small checks. What should I do when someone gets a check for 10 bucks and it never gets deposited?

                      What should I do when someone gets a check for 10 bucks and it never gets deposited?

                      Check with your bank... most states etc have a time limit on checks... 90 days, 6 months etc then you can cancel them. We used to have it printed right on our checks when we had to cut lots of them each month. Just to let people know it will be a dead issue after such and such date so they didn't cry about bank fees they had to pay out.

                      We've had bills not show up too. Pain in the butt straightening it out if they even entertain the idea it could have been late getting to us. Better ones are the ones that come and are due the next day and were mailed 2 days previous.

                          I didnt get a bill for my internet connection for about 5 months, last year. One day it disconected, so I called and asked what was up. They checked my account and they said it was inactive. So somebody fucked something up and I was getting free cable and internet ;)

                              This is a funny thread.

                              I checked my mail yesterday, and I received 10 peoples electric bills who live in my building. The bills were sent to my addy, but the accounts were all for different people. Most of them were in yellow envelopes which means they haven't been paying their bills. lmao. I'm wondering if these people have just not been getting them?

                              I honestly don't have time to be a nice guy and give people their respective bills. I think it's fucked up. haha.

                                  I have several creditors whose bills I always seem to get late. By the time they reach me they are due in two days. Fucking unbelieveable. By the time they get the check they usually jump the gun on late fees. Gotta call them up every damn month to resolve it. Bastards.

                                  O yeah, and my paycheck is always a day early. Direct deposit rocks when your bank is in an earlier timezone.

                                      I get mail from my neighbor like 2 weeks afetr the fact becuase she's a dam pack rat.... or delivered to another street with the same name 2 blocks over

                                          Ive had a Mexican boy who couldnt even speak English hand me a $1200 clickcash check and say he found it in the garbage can.

                                              Yeah and its quite thrilling when your neighbor accidentally receives your paycheck, and it mistakenly opens it, and it happens to have all your personal information on it including live chat info.

                                              Its a good thing my mexican neighbors don't know much about the internet heh
