WinXP or Win2000

anyone have any good experience with xp? i tried setting up a usb dsl modem for a friend in January and i had nothing but trouble trying to find xp drivers and stuff.

i had win2000 on my last computer, i liked it alot and it solved all my OS related problems, but after reading about xp maybe thats the way to go.

thanks for your input.

take it easy,

I love Windows 2000. It's very stable. XP has had some issues when it first came out. But even though these mostly have been fixed recently, I'm going to wait another 6 months before upgrading to XP.

XP kicks major ASS over 2000. I had to upgrade 2 weeks ago because 2000 killed my machine.

I have been Very Happy with XP to this point, plus it comes with Mike69's blessing, who definately knows his OS's.

XP Pro on one machine, Win2k Server on another. Important stuff on Win2k, fun and games on XP.

I love XP way more stable. But a lot of newer programs/hardware do not have XP drivers out yet.

We have both XP and 2000 in our office.

Both work great!

I use 2000 on my laptop and its very stable ... but when I go to the Platinum Crews' computers that have XP ... there are some very cool features.

Here is a testimate -- one of our hardcore MAC designers recently stated that he is really starting to like XP. (we do not have mac's in-house and all the designers are forced to use XP .)

Personally ... I am looking for an excuse to upgrade my laptop
