Moving from a flea market to a Retail store..for those that care:)

So as some of you may know, I've been selling roller shoes in the flea market game for over a year now. It has been a fun ride but it is time to move on.

So we are now getting a full store front right on Yonge st in toronto.

We will sell everything that sold well in the flea market...everything...blankets...hats...rollershoe s...purses...jewllery etc etc.

Going to be cool...we will keep selling rollershoes as they make us money.

However we are looking at importing korean blankets/bed sets.
And if i can figure it out....exporting CDN made vitamins to korea(this one is not close to being ready)

Anyway, i know some people like these threads and i have gotten into many a conversation about the rollershoes with lots of people in adult...so im just letting everyone know.

things that concern me...rent is like 6 times higher..lol
more products means more product knowledge required
6 days a week instead of just two so who's going to be here making me lunch and shit?lol

All in all im kinda excited..the place we are taking over sold about 9k a month before i hope to hold that for now and then of course work on doubling it.

things i want to do...add an online store and sell the stuff via it...the girls could be shipping stuff out all day when there is no one in the store.

ok..that is all

Congrats, I'd love to have a hard retail location for my side biz. Not big enough yet though.

Congrats on the new storefront Brad

You know what you should do is sell those fake Canadian ID's for tourists... When we were kids we went down and bought a ton of them and used them as fake ID's when we went to bars LOL!

Good money in that! haha!

Anyways good luck in the future endeavour!

Good Luck on the move.
Let me know the address of your store.
My kids after some of those wheelies, and maybe you can hook me up.

congrats on the store!

although it's always best to have something "real" , be prepared that "real" comes with a price. (higher rent/utility/security/insurance/sales tax/etc.)
if i might suggest , do not buy too heavy into anything because people have a tendency to "like what they like" and no matter how beautiful the porcelain french dolls are with the velvet/satin gowns you may have to "daisy mae" them down to burlap dresses with straw in their hair should the area be more "country" v.s "victorian"... i'm guessing!

sincerely ~ ..."it's just a little bitty pissant country place , nothing too high tone"

Start selling the "Jesus Loves Pornstars" t-shirts from *********.com . I hear they are trying to get them into retail stores.

Sweet. Do you sell the shoes in adult sizes? When do you intend to open the store? And where on Yonge?

That is great! It may take you time to find out the mix of products that works best in a retail store, but you did well at the flea market so I'm sure you can adjust accordingly. I like the idea of the online store, it will keep your staff busy and bring in extra income for you
