          I tend to think that most of the major webmasters do. It's not really even all that evil.

          Sure it's annoying, but I'd take 40 spams a day over 1 fucking telemarketer. Yet they are legal.

          The only thing that makes spam quasi-illegal is that they only pay for transmission, not reception.

          This is why telemarketers can't call cell phones, they would have to re-imburse you for your lost minutes, so theorhettically a spammer should have to pay for the bandwidth and harddrive space on mailservers that their spam takes up, which I think would make spam unprofitable, and a fucking nightmare of billing.

          Yet we don't bitch in here like ever about the fucking cops, credit cards, machine dildos, and aluminum siding people that call all day long begging for money.

          Odd.

            Oh yea, and it pays off well too, just like telemarketing.

            So, the only way to stop spam is to get people to stop clicking and then buying the shit, which will never ever ever happen.
