am lookin to spend around $400 on a new digital camera, mainly for just basic "point and shoot" stuff - what do ya recomend ?

Try a Kodak Easyshare model and get some extra memory cards and batteries. A tripod would be good also.
The learning curve is short, the quality is good. I had one for a while and was very happy with it.Sleep well, and dream of large women.
