Leased v Bought content?

Leased v Bought content?

Been looking for more content and been chased by some lease plug ins.

So my question is with BW at 10 cents a Gig or lower and them charging anything from $2 upwards. How long before I could of bought the video?

Or do they keep updating with new all the time?

Not interested in the quality, some are good and some bad, but the screen size is of interest. Then too big and I could of bought it any way.

Let me have some answers to this please.

USERS only.

Paul you're starting to ask an awful lot of n00b questions lately.

It's handy for those of us that are new to the scene and are still learning the ropes as it were...

I did some calculations and it seems plugins are still too expensive. Expensive to what they can bring in. I doubt $10k invested in plugins(what doesnt need a huge member base) will bring in at least $10k more in rebills.

I would love to see your figures.

$10k in plugins is a lot more content than $10k in paid content....

That's what I thought as well.

I'm buying in good scenes for $30 to $60 I own them outright and can use/rotate them until the cows come home. The movie is 400 meg

100 DL cost $4. On plugin that costs $80 at $2 a gig. If I did my maths right.

400 meg x 100 DL @ 10 cents a Gig = $4
400 meg x 100 DL @ $2 Gig on plug in = $80

Plugin's give alot more value to your members area, all of the ones we use add new dvd's/content on a daily/weekly basis and are always adding new feeds. And the expense is well worth it (even thouh its cheaper than you think) members really love all the addtional choices they have with them

Members love new content on a daily basis and don't care as much as people tell you aboutr where it comes from. It's good porn or bad porn.

Just not sure about the affectiveness of leasing it if you can buy it.

100 members is peanuts, think in terms of 1,000s and you are in trouble.

Or did I do my maths wrong?

Plugins are generally not downloadable, so members have to stream them and they use alot less bandwith then you think. All i can say is try adding a few and put a cap on how much transfer you want to pay for, they really do make a difference to members. If they didnt, why do almost all the paysites out there use them?

Yes, that seems about right. Plugin sites will probably encode the content in different qualities, so most people would use about 200 mpeg, but that still doesn't make plugins cheap. Problems is, some programs buy them, rebills go up, they are happy. I want to know exactly how much I pay and how much I earn on it.

Some sites insist on buying exclusive only, saying non exclusive is saturated.

A brand new TEEN scene in a TEEN paysite will be years before it's saturated. That's why you can buy them for peanuts.

You saturated them by giving them to 2,000 affiliates to put on TGP sites free, even hosting them so more affiliates saturate them even more.

Yes paysite logic is supreme.

You do everything to impress the affiliate and the free surfers.

So it costs $40 for 100 members to view it and $400 for 1,000 and none can DL it to their computers. This is at $2 a Gig, I was quoted $4 a Gig, but he did immediately tell me he had a deal for me.

Seems to me if it were 20 cents a Gig it would be worth thinking about it.

Or I have my sums 100% wrong.

Probably the best way would be to try it out for a month, to see how much it costs and how much the retention improves.
