    Webmaster's meeting and greet weekend in the Poconos

    Thinking about having a meet and greet weekend in the Pocono Mountains. Since I live nearby and grew up in the area, I am very friendly with several of the Resorts in the area that would love to have us all up. But I want to first see if there is an interest in such a weekend. If there is I will start putting everything together. So with a show of hands, or in this case posts to this thread let me know who would be interested.

      Which resort were you looking at most strongly? I'm in CT.

          There are several, on is a family owned resort in the middle of the mountain's called Rainbow Mountain. They cater to all walks of life, and they wouldn't have a problem with a shit load of porn stars and web masters coming in for a weekend event.

          The other is Pocmont which is more right wing, but I still have a strong relationship with the owners.

          Before starting my hosting business, I wanted a design, and PR agency called Avalon Group. Which did marketing a PR for special interest groups, as well as event planning, and event management. So I developed strong relationship with club and resort owner in the Poconos as well as NYC. I did want to do something in the city, but I figured that a getaway is a bit better idea. Have different DJs come in, and make it a little InterNext.

              I'm partial to Cove Haven, but whatever works -- it's not like it's hard to get around up there.
