Anyone have one of these Sony Tv's?

Looking at grabbing a new tv for our upstairs and glanced at these models yesterday.

Sony KDF50E2000 $1999.99
Sony KDF46E2000 $1799.99
Sony KDFE42A10 $1599.99

I'm leaning towards that 46" right now as the wife doesn't want anything too big. Just wondering if anyone here has one of these or seen one and what their opinions were? Is LCD decent or shoudl I grab a 42-46" DLP?

I'm not going to look up the models but I have a Sony Wega 60" LCD rear projection and I love it. Also have a Panasonic 37" Plasma for the bedroom and its perfect for a 12x12 room. Great picture, colors are very vibrant with the plasma. Animated movies are amazing on it.

I bought my 37" at Best Buy because I was inpatient, haha, but I bought my 60" at www.abesofmaine.com and saved myself about $1500 with a 4 week wait.

nice sly. I'm liking the 46 LCD right now. I have a 65" mitsubushi that is 3 years old that is in the basement. Need something new for our upstairs and the wife is liking the 46. Do you watch fast paced things on your 60"? Do you see any slowness etc? Action movies or sports etc.

The 60" is fine with action and fast paced stuff like sports because its LCD. Plasma, however, does have a big problem with it. My Plasma is right above my computer and I just noticed a blur, LOL, thats my only complaint about plasma.

My parents have the Sony KDFE42A10. It kicks ass. They were Voom subscribers and then moved to Dish when Dish bought Voom. So the HD channels on this box is amazing. It's really bad ass clairity. Very shallow depth for a projection too. The only drawback is that you need to replace the bulb every X thousnads of hours. so check the pricing on that bulb and the bulb lifetime.

circuit city has the 42" for $1,299

yeah I'm findind some cheaper prices then what I wrote down also. Does your parents 42" stretch the normal channels so the screen is filled up with no black around the picture?

I like the Philips LCD screens personally, they have their shit together in this department. One of my favorites is the 42PF9830A unit, not too big, not too small. It's an awesome TV and the quality is top-notch but even so it really can't touch a high quality Plasma TV in terms of picture quality (then again, a high quality Plasma is the only thing still atm that can rival a true CRT picture).
