i think i have a good idea - but what I don't understand is why these girls who are called 'import models' for car shows are all Asian American girls. how come?

The car show scene emerged with the pioneer event called Import Showoff and was the first of its kind. Modified cars are often exhibited at car shows, such as Hot Import Nights (HIN), Extreme Autofest and NOPI. Vendors sell various products at these car shows including sound equipment for cars and other car modification products. Frequently, models are present at these shows to pose in front of cars. These models are known as import models or "booth babes" and have gained massive popularity among those in the import scene.

There are tons of white girls who are import models or "booth babes" at car shows too. I know a few.

Basically they are just the hot chicks that model at car shows.

According to Wikipedia: The Import racing scene culture was originally associated with Asian American youth however, thanks to movies like "The Fast and the Furious", it has become a mainstream phenomenon among youth of all races in the United States.

Wiki has it twisted. F&F was made because of the "import scene". Not the other way around.

Well there used to be a few good "Import Models" years ago, but now it's just any hoochie (usually asian, but not so much anymore) who wants to not do nudes and wear neon arm nets, and get paid $100 to show up at a booth at the import shows.

They also Go-Go dance for cheap too.
