Lets face it , there are more jokes about the dumbness of blondes than jokes about many others . Ever thought why ?

I wasn't paying attention untill the day i watched the movie "american psycho" , and there was a scene that some guys spoke about it issue at the table . If we wont focus on blondes but on gorgeous women , then what they say is that life is easier for pretty women . Ugly women have to try harder to get the same success that pretty woman will get much in much less work .
So it's not that blondes are dumbs , it's ugly woman have no choice but to use their brains to compensate for how ugly they are .

In the 19th century, amid the Victorian era, females were preferably delicate, blonde and white-skinned women. They gave off this angelic imagery and innocence that the era embraced.

In a novel entitled The Woman in White by renowned Victorian author Wilkie Collins, the descriptions of blondes in the tale are attractive and seemingly delicate, whereas descriptions of brunette women were unappealing and somewhat masculine -- let's just say it; brown-haired, olive-skinned women were ugly. And most literature from that era took such a stance.

So because the brunettes stood up for themselves and their independence while the blondes held on dearly to their men to be saved and taken care of, blonde women slowly became known as weak and unintelligent, so to speak.

society stereotypes the notion that blondes are more attractive than brunettes from day 1, through many different mediums.

therefore, you have girls from a young age who are fed this stereotype, and it effects their development in such a way which has a negative impact on their personalities and their willingness to excel as they believe they're superior.
